Their Story
Plaza Singapura is a popular contemporary one-stop urban mall with emphasis on fashion, entertainment and food for families and young adults. Located in the heart of Orchard Road, its retail outlets are spread over nine floors with each floor having its own theme. Plaza Singapura enjoys tremendous traffic with its direct linkage to the Dhoby Ghaut MRT interchange and the North-East MRT line, as well as the proposed LRT line to the downtown Civic and Business District.
Their Goal
Plaza Singapura wanted to raise mass awareness for its 42th-anniversary campaign via Social Media.
The Challenge
Anyone can easily start a new Facebook page in minutes, but it’s not as easy to make a successful page that reaches and engages people. This is why Plaza Singapura teamed up with Hashmeta in hopes of rolling out a successful social media campaign through gamification.
The Process
As part of the campaign, Plaza Singapura invited its Facebook fans to participate in a giveaway campaign through a “Spin and Win” mechanics. The retailer used a custom campaign to drive people to the campaign’s landing page and encourage them to redeem and utilise the vouchers at the shopping mall.
