In the field of continuing education and training, and adult learning, NTUC LearningHub holds a strong foothold. Their vision to transform the lifelong employability of working people serves as a powerful driver in their messaging. They aspire to be a source of inspiration for workers to upgrade their skills and develop new capabilities through their courses.
Keeping the theme of empowerment and inspiration in mind, we felt that International Women’s Day would be a perfect fit to NTUC LearningHub’s messaging. The focus of International Women’s Day on female empowerment and bridging the gender gap parallels NTUC LearningHub’s idea of learning and aiding workers in breaking the glass ceiling through knowledge and skill development.
Hence, for the month of March, we explored the theme of female empowerment by incorporating it into NTUC LearningHub’s Facebook content. Throughout March, we placed emphasis on female-centric content to draw attention to the working woman and their success. In addition, our monthly timeline contest featured a mix of strong female personalities expressed through vibrant visuals.
For the contest, we created 5 powerful female personas and featured that on a GIF. We asked users which persona they related to the most and invited them to leave a comment.
We chose images that highlighted strong female representation through the pop art genre. Historically, pop artists used their creations to challenge tradition, and their art serves as a reference point to stimulate contemplation among viewers. Similarly, we pulled from this as inspiration to bring our theme of female empowerment out and challenge the status quo.
